Sunday School (Preschool – 5th Grade)
Sunday School Classes
We offer engaging, relevant Sunday School programming for children every Sunday morning during the 11:00 AM worship service. Children’s Sunday School classes meet at 11:00 AM in the Assembly Room in the children’s wing of the Sanctuary building. Sunday School begins with large group Assembly Time before the children split into 3 age/grade-based Sunday School classes:
This class meets during the 11:00 AM worship service in the Preschool and K – 1st Grade classrooms in the children’s wing of the Sanctuary building.
2nd – 3rd Grade
This class meets during the 11:00 AM worship service in the 2nd – 3rd Grade classroom in the children’s wing of the Sanctuary building.
4th – 5th Grade
This class meets during the 11:00 AM worship service in the 4th – 5th Grade classroom in the children’s wing of the Sanctuary building.
While in Sunday School, your children will be exposed to a foundation of biblical knowledge that they learn the stories of God and God’s people, and be encouraged to engage in spiritual practices of prayer, studying the Bible, spending time with God, and serving others. Our goal is for children to build upon this knowledge and experiences as they grow and mature into their own spirituality.
During Sunday School, use Cokesbury’s Deep Blue curriculum to lead children through the Methodist church’s liturgical year, using music, videos, live storytelling, Scripture reading and memorization, prayer, and other activities to help children learn the stories of God’s Word, the Bible, and deepen their faith in God.
Welcome! We are so excited for you to spend time with us! Stop by the Assembly Room in the children’s wing of the Sanctuary building. Our team would love to walk you through the sign-in process and answer any questions you may have!
Please find your children’s name on our Sunday School Attendance Charts and place a sticker next to your child’s name under that day’s session. Current sessions are noted near the Attendance Charts. If you cannot find your children’s name(s), feel free to add their name(s) to the chart and fill out a Child/Family Information Form if you have not already done so.
In the event of an emergency or disaster, your children will be escorted to the parking lot behind the church building, next to the police station. Children will be released into the care of the parent(s), legal guardian(s), designated pick-up person(s), or emergency contact person(s) listed on their Child/Family Information Form.
Our Sunday School Team
On Sunday mornings, both paid staff and volunteers lead children during large group Assembly Time and in their individual Sunday School classes. Each has completed a background check and all are required to understand and follow the Texas Annual Conference’s Safe Sanctuary policy regarding safe practices with children.
