Mance Park Middle School Outreach Program

This program was created in 2013 (as a sub-committee of the Missions Committee).  Missions voted to “adopt” Mance Park Middle School in Huntsville, Texas, and Judy Freeman has taken the lead in developing and managing this new program, which is also known as Mance Park Methodist Partnership (MPMP). Information regarding program scope, priorities, details, and related volunteer opportunities will be communicated via FUMC First Flame newsletter, church bulletins, and other programs, so please stay tuned.

EOY Everyone Appreciation

The Mance Park Methodist Partnership showed appreciation for the teachers at Mance Park Middle School by providing delicious desserts in the teachers’ workroom and by holding drawings for an Adirondack chair, a bench, and a bag of summer vacation supplies. Winners were Cynthia O’Bryant (Adirondack chair), Carol Metz (bench), Josiah Bone (supplies). Special thanks to Karen Kelly and Martha Brown for organizing this event and to Byron Kelly for making the chair and bench.
